Initial Professional Development Training

Are you new to teaching online as of Spring 2020? If so, then you are required to meet initial professional development for teaching online. Upon completion of this two-hour session, you will receive a certificate stating you have met the guidelines for initial professional development to teach online. During this session, we will discuss Universal Design for Learning (UDL), online course accessibility (ADA compliance), UNCG’s Quality Matters checklist, and some general instructional design principles to keep in mind when developing online courses. Please note that these sessions are not meant to be in-depth training on how to use Canvas.
Note: To register, please click the small “See all” link below. If you click the RSVP button, it will take you to the registration for the Nov. 14th session only. All sessions will be held in Foust 206. If you would like hands-on working time, please bring a laptop.
